Kids Shoes
Let’s talk baby boots! We let our littles go barefoot as often as possible for many reasons (grounding, foot shape, balance). But, it’s not always an option. Sometimes we need a high quality shoe for our little explorers all while staying safe, dry, and warm.
After many fails, we ended up purchasing some low top rain boots. These Buoy boots helped my son learned to put his own shoes on! They are structured enough to protect our adventurous toddler while we’re out in the woods, but stay on without pinching any parts of his foot. Kids feet are all so different, it can be challenging to find the right fit. The flexible material forms to the shape forms to the foot and make them easy to put on and take off. They have ample room in the toe box area and are 100% waterproof! And that’s a big deal for anyone dealing with lots of rain and moisture – puddle approved!
Puddles are fun and often leave our little dude super muddy. They are easy to clean up with a soapy rag and hang dry. These will definitely be going in the hand-me-down pile for little brother bear, because we are all about buying products that last!
Living in the Northwest requires waterproof shoes. Wet feet are THE WORST! My husband and I both love Xtratuf boots for working in the garden, walking the dogs, and playing in the yard. I love that they are designed with loops on the front and back of the ankle. We had a hard time finding them in the right size for our son and were super happy to find a well-built alternative on Amazon called Buoy. We bought two sizes, his current size and the next size up because growth spurts happen so fast!
